Records of Immunizations

Students must meet state immunization requirements by bringing proof of immunization from family physician or local health department. The parent or guardian then transfers this information to a certificate of immunization and signs the certificate to verify its accuracy.

Kindergarten Information

Children must be 5 years old by August 31 in order to start Kindergarten in September. You will need to bring the original birth certificate when registering your student.

Half-Day Kindergarten is available to all eligible students at all District elementary schools. Because half-day kindergarten is funded in Washington State by state and local dollars, there is no fee to attend the morning or the afternoon kindergarten sessions.

Newly Revised Friday Rotation Schedule for Half-day Kindergarten Begins Fall of 2010:
Attendance for half-day Kindergarten students on Fridays will look a little different starting with the 2010-11 school year.  AM and PM Kindergarten classes will take turns rotating attendance every other Friday. (Our District dismisses students two hours early every Friday.)   With this rotation, half-day Kindergarten students will be attending a longer day every other Friday-- from the start of the school day until school is released two hours earlier than its regular Monday-Thursday dismissal time. (Check with your elementary school for its Friday school hours.)  On these Fridays, half-day Kindergarten students will need to either bring a lunch from home or set up a lunch account at the school.  Free and reduced lunch applications are available in the school office.

The Friday Kindergarten Rotation Schedule is being implemented to provide a more concentrated learning opportunity for half-day Kindergarten students every other Friday and to conserve transportation costs. It is a change from the previous practice of servicing both AM and PM Kindergarten groups in ¼-day increments (about 1.5 hours) every Friday.

-   2010-11 AM-PM Friday Kindergarten Rotation Schedule

NOTE: The first day of Kindergarten, Friday, September 3, will be an exception to the rotation schedule, as both AM and PM classes will be expected to attend for half of their session on this one day only. (In August, check the E-calendar for specific times to attend on September 3.)

Full-Day Kindergarten is an optional program provided by the Snoqualmie Valley School District on a limited, space-available basis. The program is funded by a tuition fee which covers the difference between the state-funded half-day program and the full-day session. The regular district kindergarten curriculum provides the basis for this program. There is additional emphasis on free exploration and enrichment.
